What a week on YouTube. The video became the #3 most watched news item. Dave went on really believing this was going to be a discussion about the book but Stuart Varney of Fox turned it into a personal attack. But Dave gets him in the end.

Besides being an apt example of the interview topic
this interview is a gold nugget of a lesson on how to look good
because someone tries to make you look bad:
Side-by-side ambush interview is akin to displaying
or demonstrating your product right next to another
one when yours is obviously better.
As a former WSJ & NBC reporter I enjoy seeing someone like Stuart stay cool while under fire when interviewed by someone with a biased agenda.
For those being interviewed for print where there is no video or other recording of the interview, know that increasingly those being interviewed take the initiative to record it so they can credibly respond if they believe their comments are quoted out of context or otherwise misconstrued.
Several people have recommended that i read Tribal Leadership because of my writing and consulting on collaboration, most recently Jim Hays – and this blog and interview clinch it for me – am getting the book today. See other collaboration-related books here on this shareable-designed list

Hi Dave – Definitely one of the most entertaining interviews I have seen! You handled yourself extremely well given the hostility of the interviewer and I commend you for not devolving in kind. One would expect at the very least the interviewer would have read the book and treat you with a base level of respect. Great performance under pressure and an excellent example for others to follow!
